New day, New run!

So, this morning, I woke up, totally NOT wanting to get up and go run!
But, I dragged myself out of bed, got my running gear on, and headed out, slowly, but, about an hour after I got up, I actually was at the bottom of my front steps, doing my stretches.
It was already about 80 out, and pretty humid, I knew this run would be a hot one!

When I run, I use the Map My Run program on my android phone, it trails my run, times me, and, tells me how far I have gone,, it is a great program, and, totally free!!
I also use Myxer Social Radio, for my run music,, I found it REALLY helps me, to move to the music :)

So, off I went, I walked a half mile, fast paced, then, did the rest of my mile, using the Jeff Galloway, run/walk method.
I have gotten my time, as of today, down to 15mins!
When I started back up, I did a mile and a half, in almost 17 mins,, in a week, I am now down to 15!
My goal is 13mins, then, I will add another mile on.... baby steps this time :)

This afternoon, I went and got fitted for some new running shoes!
I was told to get Brooks, because when I run, I use the inside of my feet, which is causing the shin splints, SO, these are the shoes for me!

Next week, I am off to get some brand new kicks!
Now, to decide on the color!!

Tomorrow is my off run day, so, I will be doing P90x!
Tomorrow, I will also be putting a hold on our room for the run! Things are starting to fall into place, and become so much more real to me!
This is going to be a long, and challenging journey, but, one that will surely change my life for the better, so, I am all for it!!
