So, my husband has never really been a huge supporter of my "big ideas"
Selling Avon, Making jewelry, etc. It is always a "money making idea" that ends up costing us more money then I make LOL
So, when I got back from my leap day trip in Feb. and told him I was going to start running, and then go back to WDW in a year, for the princess half marathon, his expression was a little less then excited!
But, I am happy to say, I think he is coming around!
He has started running with me in the mornings, even holds my water for me!
The other day, when I got on my Wii Fit, and seen that I had not only lost weight, but hit my goal, he was right there, standing next to me, congratulating me.
I think he finally sees, it is not me just doing this for yet another trip to Disney, as it was when I first started, but, so much more, it is now a healthier, happier me.
And to have him come around, and be there running with me, standing next to me as I cringe waiting for my weight results, eating the healthier food changes, well, it is a great feeling :)

AM run
Well, I got up this morning, and set off for my run.
It was about 70 and there was a nice cool breeze, perfect morning for running!
So, I set off, and did great!
Even got my time down to 13:30! I am so pleased with my time today!
Had major shin issues towards the very end, so, I walked the last minute and a half, and was good to go!
I can't wait for my new shoes, I am confident that when I get new ones, I will be able to go longer distance, and even a faster pace :)
Hope you all got out and ran today, it is National run day after all :)

Mile stone!!!
So, today, I felt great, realizing my hard work was finally paying off!
Today, I got on the balance board of my Wii Fit, and weighed myself, for the first time in a long time!
I set a goal for myself, a few months after my youngest was born, to get myself under 150lbs.
He is now 3.
I was so pleased to see, that not only am I now under 150lbs, but have also lost 12lbs!
I was so excited, I tried on my old fav. pair of black skinny jeans, and, to my surprise, they actually fit!! size 8's!
So beyond excited to have made many major mile stones in my life today, feeling great to be out of double digit pants, wonderful to be under 150lbs, and no longer labeled as "obese"
Eating right, exercise, and running, are the reason I am where I am right now, and I couldn't feel better with myself, knowing I made this life change, without the aid of diets, and pills, but with my own will and determination in myself, to do this change for not only me, but for my kids.
I now will push myself, harder then ever, to reach that finish line in Feb. thus reminding myself, that I did this, I did this to make sure I will see my kids grow, to be there when they marry, to play with my grand babies, to just feel better in my own skin.
I know now, that I can do this, and I WILL do this, and do it well!!

Easy Breezy!
Today was a beautiful day for a run,, it was warm, and sunny, but, the morning brezze was a delight to run in!
The usual running mix on my phone playing in my ears, my new timer works perfectly with my music, Map My Run app., all running at once!
No issues at all.
Have to say, this run/walk, is much harder with a timer, then I thought!
I thought counting in my head worked, but OH NO was I wrong!
I was up to 45/15 run/walk,, now, sadly, I had to lower it to 20/15, because I again, am having shin issues, I don't want to push my body to far, so, till I finally get those shoes, this will have to do!
It is better then not at all, so, I have to keep a positive edge on these issues :)
I am still, worried and doubting myself.
I had a friend run her first half over the weekend, and post about how hard it was.
She is much more fit then I, and, has been training longer then I have as well.
I am not going to give up, just, very worried with myself at this point.
Hope to overcome the feeling that I can't, and only say I can,, it is hard, but, at least I am still dragging myself out there to do it!

1.5, in 14mins!
Today, I had to literally DRAG myself out to run, it was already 90 when I got up, with 80% humidity!
But, I sure did it! Did my whole run this am, in walk/run form,,, 30run 15 walk,, boy, did I think I was going to die!
I didn't, but man, I think I lost 5 pounds of sweat!
The heat didn't kill me, make me sick, or pass out,, another hurdle overcome today.
I am no longer going to use heat, as an excuse not to get up and out and running!
I shaved a whole minute off my time today, in HOT HOT heat!
Today, I am amazed in myself, and very proud!
I feel like I can do this, and do this well!!
Tomorrow, work out day!!!

UGH! These "smart" phones!
This morning, I couldn't wait to go run, and try out my new interval timer app on my phone.
I get up, get ready, and head out, turn on my music, and start my pre run stretches.
I finish, feeling great, still no shin pains, so, always ready to get out and go!
I start up the MapMyRun program, and start to walk, as directed in the Jeff Galloway run/walk program,, I do 1.30 to 3 mins, speed walking, usually one whole song :)
so, the song is coming to an end, I take out my phone, and start up the timer, which tells me when to walk, and when to run,, I set it to run for 45 sec. and walk for 15. rather then the 30/15.
First issue comes, if I turn off my cell screen, the program shuts down...start it up again, while running and trying to keep pace, and time in my head, keeping the screen on this time, put it back into my pocket, and running, running.....nothing telling me to walk, UGH! Take it back out, while walking now, and it has again, shut down!
I start it up, AGAIN, and this time, keep screen on, while holding it, start to run again, half way done, doing great with time, and the program freezes, again, only this time, shutting down my phone, thus losing my time on my map, and, my tunes :(
I came home, so angry! I was really hoping I had made my 13 min. mark, so I could start working on distance this week!
So, I got rid of that program, and got a new one, going to try it out tomorrow!
Normally, I run every other day, but, I didnt run Saturday, so, to keep myself on my proper days, I have decided to go again tomorrow!
Fingers crossed this doesn't cause shin pain!
I can't wait to get my new shoes, so I don't have to worry about my shins anymore, and I can get on with my runs!
I have a 5k lined up next month, possibly 2, if I get my shoes in time :)

New day, New run!
So, this morning, I woke up, totally NOT wanting to get up and go run!
But, I dragged myself out of bed, got my running gear on, and headed out, slowly, but, about an hour after I got up, I actually was at the bottom of my front steps, doing my stretches.
It was already about 80 out, and pretty humid, I knew this run would be a hot one!
When I run, I use the Map My Run program on my android phone, it trails my run, times me, and, tells me how far I have gone,, it is a great program, and, totally free!!
I also use Myxer Social Radio, for my run music,, I found it REALLY helps me, to move to the music :)
So, off I went, I walked a half mile, fast paced, then, did the rest of my mile, using the Jeff Galloway, run/walk method.
I have gotten my time, as of today, down to 15mins!
When I started back up, I did a mile and a half, in almost 17 mins,, in a week, I am now down to 15!
My goal is 13mins, then, I will add another mile on.... baby steps this time :)
This afternoon, I went and got fitted for some new running shoes!
I was told to get Brooks, because when I run, I use the inside of my feet, which is causing the shin splints, SO, these are the shoes for me!
Next week, I am off to get some brand new kicks!
Now, to decide on the color!!
Tomorrow is my off run day, so, I will be doing P90x!
Tomorrow, I will also be putting a hold on our room for the run! Things are starting to fall into place, and become so much more real to me!
This is going to be a long, and challenging journey, but, one that will surely change my life for the better, so, I am all for it!!
